     Our mission at the Green Adventure Project is to offer experiential academics, challenging curriculum, and hands on learning opportunities. We offer programs that correlate with the Virginia Standards of Learning. We work closely with teachers and schools in order to foster the best classroom integration.

Teacher Support:
We are here for you! We’ll be there to support you in whatever way we can. Whether it is program design, support material, fundraising ideas or more information, we are available by phone, email, or in person to provide the assistance you need.


Viginia Standards of Learning:
Our Environmental Education program is designed around the Virginia Standards of Learning. All our programs correlate with the standards in order to offer the best classroom integration and learning experience. We have custom curriculums for all grades and content areas as well as teacher specific needs.

       

Adventure and Environmental Education: Want to take your group on an Outdoor Adventure but still want an academic learning experience? We will also customize a program for you to combine both outdoor adventure and environmental education topics. What better way to learn about the environment than to live outdoors in the wilderness for an extended period while learning all about the surprises it has to offer!

Health and Safety at Triple C Camp:
We have a wonderful outdoor learning environment in which both teachers and students feel safe. We are a licensed childcare provider, our facility is closed to the public and all of our staff go through a detailed interview process and background check. Safety is a priority therefore staff first aid certifications range from a minimum of CPR and First Aid through Wilderness First Responder to Registered Nurse.

Behavior and Expectations: Students attending our environmental education program are expected to observe the same rules as school. Our program offers wonderful outdoor learning experiences, adventures and group challenge opportunities; students will be encouraged to learn, try new things, and behave in a positive manner.

Extended stay: We offer day, overnight and extended environmental programming up to 5 days in length. Come for a focused day experience or stay for 5 and experience all that the Green Adventure Project has to offer. We’ll work with you to design the perfect experience for your group.

Healthy, kid friendly meals: Meal options are available for day programs as well as overnight programs. We offer is healthy and kid friendly
variety as well as accommodating special diets or food allergies.

We’ll come to your school: We’ll come to your school to meet with teachers, administration, and students to provide information and/or plan curriculum. We want to make the planning of your trip as easy as possible while providing a custom and well-integrated program. Our programs can include coming to your school with pre and post classroom lessons for improved integration and material retention.
